The Washington Post has a fleet of freelance contributors which is why they can produce such high quality content in volume consistently. I have published 8 essays with them in the past 2 years and each piece was carefully edited. A piece I wrote in July was just published yesterday, so while it may seem like fast content, it’s not. There’s no way a single writer can compete with the volume from a big pub because it’s coming from multiple sources and they have way more resources. In my experience, the quantity approach is a fast track to burnout. (But I also concede that if it’s working for you that’s a great thing.)
