That story is simply incredible and I hope you turn it into an essay to publish here (or elsewhere, then here). I’m so very glad that Alex survived, that all the elements lined up right when you (and Alex) needed them. I can imagine the trauma you went through and the havoc it caused on your life, though obviously the scenarios were different than what we went through with Ana.
