Thanks, Andy. While I don't agree with everything you're saying, I do appreciate the time you took to provide an Amazon employee's perspective. Fun fact: this isn't the first piece I've written about Amazon. That original piece, published in the Washington Post, was read by the head honcho and I ended up speaking with someone on the S-Team who talked about all of these initiatives which I agree is a good thing. I don't think this is just a capitalism problem. I think it's an Amazon-exploiting-capitalism problem and my choice is to be less...relentless about my own consumerism. That doesn't mean I never shop though! I definitely do! I also appreciate the role Amazon and other web retailers have in getting goods to people who can't get toa physical store (another reader mentioned she relies on Amazon for medical supplies). But I can step back for now, and so I will.
