I'd be lying if I said I didn't also want to make money and that now means building a Substack newsletter of paying subscribers, but it'll likely be a slow build. Who knows what Substack will turn into over the next few years? I agree it's a relief to stop worrying about the boost though. It was a huge carrot on a stick and it definitely shaped what I chose to write about.
