I feel your worry in every word of this beautifully written piece. Have you had your son's symptoms checked out? I mean, you probably have but just in case you're on the fence about it - a couple of his symptoms sound like what my (then 11-year-old) daughter experienced prior to her cancer diagnosis (lack of appetite, exhaustion). Not to scare you, but it's clear you're worried so getting some bloodwork couldn't hurt.
